Clinical Research Collaborations

The Clinical Research Group is supported by the Victorian Trauma Foundation (VTF) and work closely with a number of groups involved in trauma. These include:

Canadian Institute for Human Research (CIHR)

CIHR is Canada's major federal funding agency for health research. Its objective is to excel, according to internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence, in the creation of new knowledge and its translation into improved health for Canadians, more effective health services and products and a strengthened Canadian health care system. Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health (ACPMH)

The Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health (ACPMH) exists as a legally independent Centre in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne. Its mission is to improve the recognition, assessment, prevention and treatment of mental health problems in individuals exposed to trauma. As such, the ACPMH has partnerships with several organisations that have an interest in the mental health effects of trauma. The Centre’s staffing profile includes experienced clinicians and researchers, and its Director, Professor Mark Creamer, is internationally recognised for his clinical and research work in the field. ACPMH is currently collaborating with the National Trauma Research Institute to develop and implement a program of psychosocial injury research. (More...)
