Corporate Governance

NTRI Board

The newly established NTRI Board is chared by Mr Tom Clynes. The Board held its inaugural meeting in December 2005 and will meet quarterly. This new Board replaces the previous NTRI Advisory Board convened in November 2003 by Professor Kossmann in consultation with Professor Gareme Ryan. Professor Kossmann would like to thank all members of the NTRI Advisory Board who assisted the Institute through its establishment phase.

NTRI Scientific and Education Committees

At the inaugural meeting of the NTRI Board in December 2005, the Terms of Reference for the Scientific and Education Committees were approved, with Professor Graeme Ryan nominated as Chair for both Committees for an interim period of six (6) months until which time a separate Chairman will be selected for the Education Committee.

Operations Committee

The NTRI Operations Committee oversees the day-to-day operations of the NTRI, with a representative from each of the Directorates sitting on the Committee. Quarterly meetings are held, and a staff newsletter is prepared by the Committee and circulated to staff four (4) times a year. Decisions and reccomendations issued by the Committee are approved by the Director and Associate Directors of the NTRI.

  • Psychosocial and psychological post trauma projects
  • Nursing and Allied Health trauma research projects
  • Emergency systems and treatment project
  • Accident research

A more detailed research exposé can be provided upon request and in the forthcoming NTRI Annual Report.
